Mathematics can be a challenging subject for certain students, which makes it one of our top priorities at YIA. We ensure that every student is provided with the right level of support, through additional tutoring.

At York International Academy, we aim to make math fun again and make students enjoy math in and out of the classroom.

Mathematics is foundational to various fields of study. Hence, a strong foundation in Mathematics is essential for advancement in all subjects through secondary education, and at YIA we strive to establish this foundation within our classes. Transferable skills are skills that students can use in other courses or more broad aspects of life. These skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, self-directed learning, and collaboration. Self-directed learning is built upon freedom of choice in methods of solving mathematical problems.
